10 MINUTES WITH... JODI GORDON

One of Australian television's most popular actresses, Jodi Gordon, talks about her latest movie roles, including the comedy Any Questions for Ben?

TELL US ABOUT YOUR ROLE IN ANY QUESTIONS FOR BEN?
I play this hilarious character called Kelly. She is meant to be Ben's first proper girlfriend... but Kelly is always looking for something more in life and she thinks Ben is too. She's a loveable person once you look past her self-obsessed nature. I had an absolute ball playing her!

HOW DID YOU PREPARE YOURSELF FOR THIS ROLE?
The research for this character involved trying to find a way to get people to like this girl who is all about herself. I found people I know who are a little bit like this yet you can't help but love them for who they are.

HOW WAS THIS EXPERIENCE DIFFERENT FROM YOUR FIRST MOVIE ROLE IN THE CUP?
Playing Kelly was completely different to Trish (in The Cup). They are polar opposites, which was interesting for me. I had a lot of fun releasing my inner "ditz" playing Kelly. This film was comedy so again it's completely different.

MOST UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT WHILE FILMING THIS MOVIE?
I remember in rehearsals doing a read-through and cracking up the whole time! The writing and direction is absolutely hilarious, I found it extremely hard keeping a straight face during filming.

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR 2012?
Looking at different projects here in Australia. Hopefully some TV too — I really enjoy the fast pace of TV. Also, I'm getting married!

FAVE SPOTS

Hamilton Island, which is very close to Sydney and is the perfect romantic holiday. I love a weekend down in Melbourne — all the amazing things it has to offer, their hotels and their food is unbelievable!
